Meet the Owner

My name is Breunka Kimbrough, owner and founder of Forever Bree Clothing Boutique. My business was inspired and named in light of my twin sister, Breunna Carmese Kimbrough, a sweet jewel who is deeply missed.  Naming my boutique was very sentimental and I knew I needed to feature her somehow. Ever since and even before her transition, I vowed to always include her in each and every one of my endeavors. Thanks, my sister for being my guiding light.

I partnered and brainstormed with a few and God placed this beauty on our hearts. Forever Bree Clothing Boutique, where we cater to women of all sizes.

Starting my business during the pandemic was actually one of the best things I’ve accomplished thus far. I wanted to create and see different avenues of income. Truth be told, I didn’t want to benefit from the actual revenue. It was more so in thought of learning a new skill or trade and perfecting the craft. I truly believe if you can learn the skill and you’re able to perfect it, then there’s a possibility you’re able to benefit solely off the strategy.

Being a Black business owner means creating a new blueprint for my generational line. No one in my family has ever done such a thing and to be the first truly brings on much anxiety and many sacrificial moments, but semi-happiness.  I wouldn’t trade this feeling for anything in the world. I know that if I can successfully create the blueprint, I can share the guide with my children’s children.

To the person aspiring to develop a strategy for business, here are a few notes: Whatever your aspirations are go after them. The world needs your expressive taste in all forms. Don’t be afraid to accept the liking of new beginnings because just on the other side is the right moment you need.

I  consider my success as a Black business owner a milestone each and every successful moment given.. With the many struggles and trials my ancestors endured, survival was all we knew. We couldn’t purchase many things let alone have our own businesses. So to have a flourishing clothing boutique is successful within itself. To celebrate my moment of success, I think back to how things started, compare analytical data and cultivate realistic goals to stretch beyond my current standings. One thing that helps me is making sure I offer pure gratitude to the One and Only, Creator of All things for without him I am nothing.

A few mantras I live by:

• I aspire to inspire before I expire.
• Look back and thank God. Look forward and Trust God.
• Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
• Psalms 56:3 When I am afraid, I will trust in you.

Thanks to those who have shown an outpour of love and support. Your grace doesn’t go unnoticed.

Bre, this one's for you baby!!
